I will take no shortcuts and provide you with every viewpoint on every topic. I am not concerned with the quantity of information on this site. All I am concentrating on is the quality of information. As time passes the quantity will improve. There are a number of reasons that Pet Better is one of the best pet resources on the internet. Firstly, this site is not to make money (you may have noticed the 'page sponsoring' system, this is to cover the costs of keeping this site alive and also is used when updating the site). I have no pop-ups or advertisements and have no intention of changing this decision of mine. This site is to provide you with the best possible service and in doing so I will not try to sell products or spam your computer just to make a few cents. Secondly, this site is run by an individual, not a commercial firm that will try to persuade you into buying a new product at the end of every paragraph. I have owned many pets from my early childhood up until now including a dog, rabbits, fish, cats, birds, crabs, mice and the list goes on. Over this time I have greatly cared for all my pets and never missed an opportunity to learn more about the animal and caring for the animal. It is fair to say that over the years, I have gained enough experience to provide you with good quality information; however, I will not stop learning new information to upload to the site.
About Me
My name is Andrew. I have been messing around with various websites for a few years now. At first my aim was to make money but in fact I have done the opposite. After close analysis of my websites and the strategies that I used I have come to the conclusion that there is only one word that matters. That word is quality. I am not talking about quality of the design, pictures, fancy effects or the domain name (although I think this one is great). I am talking about only one type of quality, the quality of content. Over the past few years, quality of my content has prevented me from making a successful and popular website. Hopefully this time things will change. I have changed my attitudes and now I am looking for results.
Before starting this website I have made the following promises to myself: (Please email me if you think I am breaking any of these promises, I will greatly value your opinion and take all emails seriously) i) all content is going to be unique and 100% written by myself, ii) not only will the content be of the best quality but I will also work on the quantity (although this will take time) iii) before writing an article I am going to search around the internet for every different perspective and point of view, I will buy or hire books with relevant information. Basically I want to synthesize all possible ideas and perspectives into one neat, easy to read and well structured article, iv) I will take no short cuts. I will write 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 or more words per article if that what it takes to provide my readers with the proper information they deserve.
I am 100% committed to this website. Personally I hate CMS systems (Content Management System) so I have decided to make and edit all of my website using notepad and my basic knowledge of HTML. Please also take into consideration that I am human. 2009 will be the year when this site will shine. I am currently finishing my final year of school and once in university I will have much more time than I currently do to work on this site. I don’t have any expectations from you unlike other sites. I don’t have many advertisements, pop-ups or links asking for donations. The page sponsoring system (green boxes) are to cover the expenses of running this site and is used for future updates.
