What should I do if my guinea pig eats the wood in his cage?

Every day (especially at night), my piggy pig chewing wood in the tunnel that separates the beds and play area. I do not know if it is to feel bad if they go out. Besides that are ripping the plastic part bottom of the cage. Material was especially respectful of the animals though so do not worry about this. Help! Thanks xx

just make sure that the wood is not chemically treated and painted, of a type of tree that can injure a guinea pig, and that will be fine but you should get some chewing blocks made especially for guinea pigs, then you do not have to worry about damage to his cage
